[Asia Economy Reporter Nah Han-ah] While Jin Hye-won, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office, mocked the wreaths in front of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office supporting Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol by saying, "I thought a nightclub had opened," Kim Woong, a member of the People Power Party, criticized Deputy Chief Prosecutor Jin's remarks.
On the 25th, Representative Kim wrote on Facebook, "When you see wreaths, you usually think of weddings or opening ceremonies, but I realized that someone thought of a nightclub," adding, "I learn a lot," criticizing the comment.
On the previous day, the 24th, Prosecutor Jin posted a photo of the wreaths in front of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office on Facebook and said, "I thought the Shin ○ Seobang faction in Seocho-dong had opened a nightclub at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office," pointing out, "Usually, organized crime groups that make money by selling drugs, running massage parlors, or extorting street vendors flaunt their power in the area by acquiring nightclubs or hotels, and they use many pink and red flowers at opening ceremonies."
Meanwhile, the wreaths supporting Prosecutor General Yoon started on the 19th when a citizen sent one, and have since continued to increase, lining up to the extent that they reach both ends of the wall in front of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office.
