[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 25th that they are recruiting participants for the Advanced Course of the Startup Success Package Preschool.


The Advanced Course of the Startup Success Package Preschool, operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small and Medium Business Corporation, is a practical training program designed to help entrepreneurs with promising startup items and excellent technologies successfully commercialize their startups. Applications will be accepted from the 26th until November 6th.


Eligible applicants are prospective entrepreneurs under the age of 39 or representatives of companies established within the last three years. A total of 120 participants will be recruited from five Youth Startup Academy locations nationwide. By region, 40 will be selected at the Ansan main campus, and 20 each in Chungnam, Gwangju, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam. The training period is four weeks, from November 19 to December 18. This year, the program will be conducted through a combination of online streaming education and offline coaching.


The detailed curriculum consists of three courses: ▲ Item Concept Design (deriving customer problem solutions and refining ideas through research) ▲ Business Modeling (developing a business model that realizes item differentiation and profitability) ▲ Item Development and Verification (establishing product concepts and verifying marketability through prototype production).


Lee Seonghee, Head of the Global Growth Division at the Small and Medium Business Corporation, stated, “The Youth Startup Academy is Korea’s representative startup support project, having nurtured 3,815 entrepreneurs and achieved KRW 3.2 trillion in sales and 13,120 new jobs.” He added, “We hope that young entrepreneurs with innovative items, excellent technologies, and passionate enthusiasm will be able to take a leap forward as the next unicorn companies through the Advanced Course of the Preschool.”
