The Korea International Trade Association issued a statement on the same day, saying, "We express our deep condolences on the passing of Chairman Lee of Samsung Group, who made a significant mark on the Korean economy," and added, "Chairman Lee grew Samsung Group into the world's top company and greatly contributed to making our country a trading powerhouse and an advanced economy."
