Consultation and online application assistance for small business owners who have difficulty applying online
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 24th that it will operate on-site application centers from the 26th to November 6th to support small business owners struggling due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in applying for the government's 'Small Business New Hope Fund.'
To enhance convenience for visiting civil petitioners, 274 locations including eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare centers were designated and installed as on-site application centers.
The Small Business New Hope Fund is available to small business owners who started their business before May 31, 2020, and are not in a suspended or closed state at the time of application. For general industries, those with annual sales of 400 million KRW or less in 2019 and whose sales in the first half of 2020 decreased compared to the previous year will receive 1 million KRW.
Additionally, special damage industries include 12 sectors designated as high-risk facilities such as singing practice rooms and PC rooms. Small business owners who were ordered to suspend operations due to administrative orders prohibiting gatherings after August 23 will receive 2 million KRW regardless of sales decline.
Applications for the Small Business New Hope Fund can be made online or by visiting the designated eup, myeon, or dong administrative welfare center in charge of the business site with identification, business registration certificate, and documents proving sales decline.
The application deadline for the Small Business New Hope Fund is November 6, and payments will be made sequentially after verification and confirmation by the Small Enterprise and Market Service.
Kim Ki-young, Director of the Job and Economy Bureau of Gyeongnam Province, said, “For small business owners who have not applied due to being busy with their work or difficulty accessing online services, please be sure to apply using the nearest administrative welfare center.” He added, “We will do our best to operate the on-site application centers to help during these difficult times caused by COVID-19.”
