According to local media including the Times of India on the 23rd, a 16-year-old girl living in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, hit her father with a laundry stick when he used violence against her mother during an argument about the elder son's wedding.
After the father collapsed and began bleeding, the girl did not stop, and eventually, the father died on the spot.
Afterwards, the girl did not flee the scene but reported the incident to the police herself and waited for them, confessing to the crime.
The girl confessed that she killed her father because she believed that if he did not disappear, she and her family would continue to suffer from his violence against her mother for a long time.
Local police sent the girl to a juvenile protection center after receiving the case.
Police investigation revealed that the girl's father was unemployed and suffering from alcoholism. His violence toward the family was continuous and had started long ago.
