[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] The home appliance industry is strengthening lifestyle-oriented appliances tailored to consumers' lifestyles. They are diversifying product colors and materials to allow personalized combinations, while also expanding into home interior spaces.
According to the industry on the 24th, Samsung Electronics recently raised a total of 260 million KRW through the crowdfunding platform 'Wadiz' for its customized compact refrigerator, the 'Samsung Bespoke Cube.' This achievement represents 620% of the initial goal of 42 million KRW.
Samsung Electronics applied the 'Bespoke' concept, which reflects the most personal tastes, to the product launch method as well, introducing this product first on Wadiz with the intention of co-creating the product with consumers.
The Bespoke Cube features precise temperature control technology that maintains temperature deviations within ±0.3 degrees Celsius and offers optimal temperature settings from 5 to 18 degrees Celsius, ideal for storing beer, wine, cosmetics, and more. It also uses 'Peltier' technology to minimize noise and vibration, and its compact design allows for flexible installation in any space.
The biggest feature of Bespoke appliances is that consumers can directly order the design and size. Customers can choose the product's material and color, and even replace specific parts as desired. When moving or transferring ownership, the appliance can be arranged to harmonize with the interior of the space where it will be placed.
Consumers can enjoy the fun of simulating various color combinations before purchase. The lineup includes refrigerators, kimchi refrigerators, dishwashers, induction cooktops, and microwaves. Samsung Electronics is focusing on Bespoke under the 'Project Prism,' which aims to align the future of home appliances with consumers' lifestyles.

LG Electronics unveiled 11 new products under its new space interior appliance brand, 'LG Objet Collection.' LG Objet Collection is an evolved version of the existing premium appliance brand 'LG Objet,' designed as a space interior appliance brand.
The 'space appliance' concept, where appliances become part of the interior, has been further expanded in the LG Objet Collection. Various appliances used throughout the home are designed harmoniously and cohesively to enhance the overall interior effect.
To select the colors and materials for the LG Objet Collection, LG Electronics collaborated with world-renowned research institutes. Colors were developed with the U.S. Pantone Color Institute, and materials were created in partnership with Italian furniture material company Arpa Industriale.
LG Electronics explained that the 'Fenix' material applied to the LG Objet Collection is a premium material that can be chosen to match interiors, featuring special coating technology that delivers luxurious colors and strong resistance to everyday scratches.
LG Electronics identified colors preferred by a wide range of generations, from young to middle-aged, through customer surveys and reflected these in the new products. Customers can directly combine the materials and colors of LG Objet Collection appliances to harmonize with their home interiors.
Among 13 colors combined with various materials such as Fenix and stainless steel, one can be applied to the refrigerator door. For top-refrigerator bottom-freezer models, applying colors to each of the three doors results in 145 possible combinations.
The 11 new LG Objet Collection products launched include top-refrigerator bottom-freezer refrigerators, built-in refrigerators, kimchi refrigerators, 1-door convertible refrigerators for refrigeration, freezing, and kimchi storage, dishwashers, microwave ovens, water purifiers, integrated washer-dryers called 'WashTower,' and garment care appliances called 'Styler.'
