Goheung County Council, Closing of the 292nd Extraordinary Session

Administrative Investigation Activities and Ordinance Approval for Military Procurement Projects

[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Jeonnam Goheung County Council held the 292nd extraordinary session to review general bills and conduct an administrative investigation of county-commissioned projects from 2019 to 2020, and announced its closing on the 23rd.

This extraordinary session, held over 12 days starting from the 12th, investigated the sound construction of facility works and private capital subsidy projects commissioned and implemented by the county in 2019 and 2020.

The county council conducted on-site inspections of 49 representative project sites for the investigation, notifying the executive branch of 25 corrective actions and 22 improvement and recommendation items, urging them to make improvements.

Additionally, during this extraordinary session, four ordinances were passed after review by each standing committee: the Goheung County 4-H Activities Support Ordinance proposed by Councilor Song Younghyun; the Partial Amendment to the Establishment and Operation of the My Love Goheung Fund Ordinance and the Partial Amendment to the Population Policy Support Ordinance submitted by the Goheung County Governor; and the Goheung County Sports Promotion Ordinance. Also approved was the agreement to establish a sister city relationship with Gangdong-gu, Seoul.

Chairman Song Younghyun, in his closing remarks, requested the executive branch to promptly prepare improvement measures for the issues pointed out in the administrative investigation to ensure that residents do not experience any inconvenience.
