According to market research firm IHS Markit on the 23rd (local time), Germany's preliminary composite PMI for October, combining manufacturing and services, was 54.5, down 0.2 points from the previous month. The preliminary manufacturing PMI for the same month was 58, an increase of 1.6 points from the previous month. The preliminary services PMI was 48.9, falling short of the previous month's 50.6.
