The premium billiards hall brand ‘Jakdang’ successfully opened its first store in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, last July and has now announced the launch of its second store in Ho Chi Minh.
The first store in Vietnam, opened last July, quickly established itself as a key location to raise local awareness of the ‘Jakdang’ brand and expand its consumer base. As a result, the company plans to open more than five additional stores by next year.
Yoon Seok-yul, the franchisee of the second store in Vietnam, stated, “I witnessed the success of the first store. Hoping that the billiards culture in Vietnam will change like it has in Korea, I decided to partner with the domestic brand ‘Jakdang.’”
In response, Lee Tae-ho, CEO of Jakdang, said, “Vietnam has about 8,000 billiards halls and is the leading emerging billiards powerhouse in Southeast Asia after Korea. Loyalty to domestic products is very strong locally, so after proving the success of the first store, we were able to open additional stores in a short period.”
The second store in Ho Chi Minh is scheduled to begin construction within this year, featuring domestically produced billiards tables and supplies.
