Gwangju City Signs AI Business Agreement with Yusol Co., EuclidSoft Co., and Clobot Co. [Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 23rd that it signed the 42nd to 44th business agreements with AI companies Yusol Co., Ltd., EuclidSoft Co., Ltd., and Clobot Co., Ltd. to establish a Gwangju-type AI business foundation. Through the establishment of corporate entities and regional offices for each company, they agreed to actively cooperate in creating the Gwangju AI ecosystem.


Yusol Co., Ltd. is a specialized company that develops and supplies IoT-based smart water management platforms, smart pressure gauges and metering, and remote leakage monitoring systems for water supply pipelines.


EuclidSoft Co., Ltd. is a specialized company that develops big data analysis-based text mining and sociograms, network analysis and AI modeling-based machine learning and deep learning technical consulting, CCTV-based behavior recognition, and AI visual intelligence services.


Clobot Co., Ltd. is a specialized company that developed a cloud-based robot management solution managing heterogeneous robots and an autonomous driving solution that makes it easy to create various indoor autonomous robots.


Through the business agreements, Yusol Co., Ltd. plans to establish a research institute for AI water supply data development, EuclidSoft Co., Ltd. will foster the AI and big data industry, and Clobot Co., Ltd. will cultivate specialized personnel in the AI robotics field by establishing Gwangju corporations and offices. They will actively cooperate in creating an AI-based ecosystem and generating new jobs in the Gwangju area.


The main agreement contents include ▲technical and policy consulting for creating an AI cluster ecosystem and building a business platform ▲promotion of establishing Gwangju corporations, research institutes, and regional offices for nurturing AI talent and creating jobs ▲development, operation, and promotion of various corporate support programs for building an AI industry ecosystem ▲planning and promoting education and employment programs for AI specialized personnel.


Cha Eun-kyung, CEO of EuclidSoft Co., Ltd., said, “We are developing an education program to train data personnel for building AI datasets, and after completing the education, we plan to connect it to employment.” She added, “I am pleased to contribute to creating new jobs through sufficient educational infrastructure support and AI-based business establishment in Gwangju, the AI-centered city.”


Mayor Lee Yong-seop said, “This business agreement is expected to be a driving force for Gwangju to lead the 4th Industrial Revolution, support South Korea as one of the four major AI powers, and grow into a global AI city.” He added, “We will actively support creating an AI ecosystem where anyone with new technologies and ideas can succeed, so that AI companies coming to Gwangju can become global companies and create many local jobs.”
