CKH Partners with Watsons China to Expand Nationwide Sales Network...

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] CKH announced on the 23rd that its cosmetic mask pack products, promoted as a new business, have recently received a love call from Watsons, which has a retail network throughout China, and signed an online and offline sales contract.

Currently, some products are already listed and sold on Watsons' online channels, and sales are planned to begin in offline stores starting in November. Watsons operates over 3,200 stores in 438 cities across China and is the largest retail giant in China selling health foods and cosmetics.

The reason behind Watsons' love call is CKH's aggressive marketing and expansion of sales channels, which have led the currently sold products to receive positive responses in the market. As for online sales channels, CKH currently has stores on many major Chinese e-commerce platforms such as JD.com, Taobao, Tmall Global, and Xiaohongshu.

Regarding offline sales channels, CKH is engaged in joint sales with corporations operating multiple franchise-type cosmetic stores and also supplies products to agents who have signed sales contracts with CKH. CKH plans to further strengthen its offline business by expanding entry into franchise-type cosmetic stores and increasing sales to agents in the future.

CKH started sales in June and achieved cumulative sales of approximately 1.03 million yuan (about 180 million KRW) by the end of September. Although the sales scale is not large yet as it is still in the pilot sales stage collecting consumer feedback, the company expects that sales from October to December, when sales will be in full swing, will expand to more than twice the current cumulative sales.

The company is currently preparing new product lineups such as ampoules and sunscreens, and at the same time, is upgrading products based on consumer feedback. Accordingly, new products and upgraded versions are planned to be quickly introduced to the market.

According to a company official, “Being listed on the Watsons channel signifies that the company's product competitiveness has been proven, so it holds great significance,” adding, “Since we plan to enter about 800 Watsons offline stores distributed throughout China by June next year, sales performance will also grow significantly.”
