New Pattern Applied Reflecting 126 Years of Heritage
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Lifestyle culture company LF (CEO Oh Gyusik)'s British-inspired accessory brand Daks Accessories announced on the 23rd that it has developed a new pattern called 'Saint Barnet' and will officially launch related products.
As 'logo play,' which prominently displays logos and uses them in unique ways, has become a global fashion trend, Daks has introduced a new pattern that embodies its distinctive value.
Inspired by the brand archive, the Saint Barnet pattern combines the latest retro logo trend with Daks' unique identity. The pattern organically connects the brand's signature 'DD' symbol with delicate chain motifs to harmonize classic sensibility with a modern touch.
Adding handcrafted-feeling rope and knot details to the pattern elegantly expresses the brand's 126-year history and craftsmanship, while the color scheme centers on black and brown tones that contrast with the vibrant pattern.
The collection featuring the Saint Barnet pattern includes a variety of products ranging from women's bucket bags, crossbody bags, and shoulder bags to men's tote bags, unisex crossbody bags, and clutches. The cylindrical bucket bag, popular among younger customers, stands out with its trendy appeal, characterized by a natural blend of cotton and leather materials. The flap bag, which also offers practicality with a double cover detail, is a product applying the 1990s Daks handbag style, evoking a retro atmosphere.
Additionally, there are various items designed considering customers' tastes and needs, such as a one-shoulder bag with a structured interior space for easy storage, a tote bag suitable as a business bag with a sophisticated design and sturdy durability, and a smart crossbody bag optimized for carrying basic essentials.
Jo Boyoung, Executive Director of LF Accessories Division, said, “We developed a pattern that modernly reinterprets the DD logo symbolizing Daks, blending the brand's unique heritage with the latest trends, and applied it to recently popular styles like bucket bags and one-shoulder bags. We plan to continuously introduce various patterns that uniquely express the brand's identity.”
Meanwhile, the Saint Barnet collection for this fall and winter season will be priced between 200,000 and 400,000 KRW and will be released through LF's official online shopping mall, LF Mall, and brand stores nationwide.
