[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Choi Hyung-doo, spokesperson for the People Power Party, responded to the possibility of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol entering politics by saying, "He is not someone who would go into politics."

On the morning of the 23rd, Choi appeared on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' and said, "I don't think Prosecutor General Yoon is someone who would go into politics, but people are pushing him to enter politics."

Referring to Park Soon-cheol, head of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office, who tendered his resignation the day before, he said, "Politics is ruining prosecutors now, and even those classified as people of former Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae are resigning out of their conscience as prosecutors."

Regarding the ruling party's criticism at the previous day's National Assembly audit that Prosecutor General Yoon's attitude was arrogant, he said, "The attitude of the ruling party lawmakers was no less. They nitpicked, telling him to sit properly," and criticized, "Are all the ruling party's Judiciary Committee members defenders of Cho Kuk and attackers of Yoon Seok-yeol?"

He also advocated for a special prosecutor for the Lime-Optimus scandal. He said, "If the Minister of Justice doubts the prosecution based on a single word from a swindler, the position of special prosecutor was created exactly for such times."
