[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Lotte Duty Free announced on the 23rd that it delivered 3,000 hand creams to the medical staff at Seoul Medical Center through a donation campaign in collaboration with the French cosmetics brand L'Occitane on the 22nd.
This donation was conducted last month as a customer participation donation campaign by Lotte Duty Free and L'Occitane to express gratitude to the medical staff on the frontlines of COVID-19. When customers purchased L'Occitane products at Lotte Duty Free, they could donate L'Occitane's bestseller, the "Shea Butter Hand Cream," to medical staff through a "One for One" program. L'Occitane, which is donating hand sanitizers and hand creams to medical staff in over 30 countries worldwide to overcome COVID-19 together, collaborated exclusively with Lotte Duty Free for this project in Korea. Thanks to customer support, the target donation quantity of 3,000 units was achieved ahead of schedule. Lotte Duty Free and L'Occitane delivered the prepared hand creams to the medical staff at Seoul Medical Center, one of the nationally designated COVID-19 hospitals.
In addition to this donation campaign, Lotte Duty Free continues various social contribution activities for medical staff. In September, it donated 500 "LDF Mind Quarantine Kits," containing functional T-shirts and tumblers, to the Korean Nurses Association using part of the proceeds from domestic duty-free sales.
Lee Young-jik, Head of Product Division 1 at Lotte Duty Free, said, "We plan to continuously participate in meaningful activities through various collaborations with tenant brands in the future."
