New Works and Signature Performances by Yeongdeungpo Cultural Arts Groups for All Ages... Traditional Korean Children's Theater and Various Classical Concerts from October 28 to November 6
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yeongdeungpo-gu (Mayor Chae Hyun-il) will hold the neighborhood performance festival "Moram Moram Concert" together with local cultural and artistic groups from October 28 to November 6.
Following the first festival in 2019, "Festival of Friendship and Hospitality," this second-year festival is an event where audiences can experience new and representative works of performance cultural and artistic groups that have long been active around Yeongdeungpo.
Designed to offer beautiful melodies that adorn autumn nights and create memories for families including children and people of all ages, this festival consists entirely of performances debuting at Yeongdeungpo Art Hall.
On October 28, Cockpit Studio's "Ani Music Adventure," where famous animation songs can be enjoyed live with video, and on the 30th, the creative group Ssamoksamok's "The Adventure of Korean Tiger Wangdae," a new pansori adaptation of a work by writer Kim Tak-hwan, will be performed. On November 6, "The Talking Monkey" by Taru, which harmonizes the diverse tones of traditional and Western instruments, will be presented?performances suitable for children and families to enjoy together.
Additionally, classical performances that will stimulate the autumn sensibilities of residents are prepared, including the Korean Liszt Association's "Piano 2,4,8,12 Hands," where Korea's representative pianists transfer classical masterpieces of the orchestra onto piano keys, and Hanuri Opera Company's "Ensemble Romantza's Small Concert," which combines video with strings and vocals to alleviate the boredom of classical music.
During the performance period, visitors can also view the local artists' exhibition themed "Detox" in the second-floor exhibition hall of Yeongdeungpo Art Hall. The exhibition operates on a free reservation basis.
In accordance with government guidelines, thorough quarantine measures will be implemented, including social distancing between seats, mandatory mask-wearing for all attendees, mandatory temperature checks before entering the venue, and completion of an electronic health questionnaire using QR codes.
The district will also conduct frequent disinfection during the festival period to ensure safe viewing guidelines are followed.
Tickets can be reserved online through Auction and Interpark, as well as by phone through the Yeongdeungpo Cultural Foundation. The admission fee is 5,000 KRW for all seats.
Additionally, a 2+1 package is available, allowing viewers to watch one performance free when purchasing tickets for two performances; this offer is available only through phone reservations.
Mayor Chae Hyun-il of Yeongdeungpo-gu said, "This performance is a comprehensive healing gift set for residents going through difficult times due to COVID-19," and added, "Since this is a performance presented after a long time, we will strive to ensure that all programs operate safely through thorough quarantine."
