[Photo] Oh Seung-rok, Nowon District Mayor, Attends Opening Ceremony of Choansan Ceramic Experience Center

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Nowon-gu (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) attended the opening ceremony of the Choansan Ceramic Experience Center at 4 p.m. on the 22nd.

The experience center, completed last December, is located near Wolgye 2-dong Choan 1st Apartment Complex, with a site area of 278.8㎡. It is equipped with two experience rooms, an exhibition room, and a kiln room.

Regular classes for children, elementary students, office workers, and adults on a monthly basis, as well as weekend one-day experience classes, will be operated. Participants can receive the ceramics they made either in person or by delivery. Reservations are made through the district's website.

At the opening ceremony, Mayor Oh Seung-rok, district council members, and local residents attended, sharing the joy of the opening through facility tours and commemorative photos.

Mayor Oh Seung-rok said, “Activities using clay have the advantage of providing psychological stability as well as confidence and enjoyment in expression,” and added, “I hope the Choansan Ceramic Experience Center becomes a place for residents’ leisure and mental healing.”
