Police Send 12 Current and Former LG Electronics Officials to Prosecutors Over 'Hiring Corruption Allegations'

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The police investigating allegations of recruitment corruption involving LG Electronics' new employees have referred 12 current and former executives to the prosecution.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Intelligent Crime Investigation Unit announced on the 22nd that they have sent 12 LG Electronics officials to prosecution without detention on charges of obstruction of business.

Earlier, the police conducted raids on LG Electronics' Domestic Sales Headquarters, aptitude test agencies, and the HR team, and have been summoning and investigating related personnel one by one.

The individuals booked are reported to be current and former executives of LG Electronics and employees in charge of HR duties.
