Installation and Operation of 'UV Disinfection Lamps' at Hampyeongcheonji (Mokpo) Gas Station Refueling Site

At the Korea Expressway Corporation Seohaean Expressway Hampyeongcheonji (towards Mokpo) gas station (Manager Kang Daeyeon), UV sterilization lamps have been installed and are being operated to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to allow customers to refuel safely.

Manager Kang Daeyeon stated that while it is possible to attach antibacterial films to handles at rest areas, it was difficult to do so on fuel nozzles, which led to the decision to install sterilization lamps.

Manager Kang Daeyeon also said, “We will prepare more thoroughly for customer safety and quarantine prevention.”
