IntecDigital Achieves Record Quarterly Highs in Q3 Sales and Operating Profit

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Set-top box manufacturer Intec Digital announced on the 22nd that its sales and operating profit in the third quarter of this year reached record highs for a single quarter.

According to Intec Digital, sales and operating profit in the third quarter of this year reached 15.7 billion KRW and 1.57 billion KRW, respectively. This is a significant increase compared to the previous quarter’s sales of 6.2 billion KRW and operating profit of 96 million KRW. Sales and operating profit for the same period last year were 9.5 billion KRW and -200 million KRW, respectively.

On a monthly basis, sales and operating profit were 2.55 billion KRW and 100 million KRW in July, 7.75 billion KRW and 950 million KRW in August, and 5.4 billion KRW and 520 million KRW in September.

As of the end of September this year, cumulative sales and operating profit amounted to 32.3 billion KRW and 2.3 billion KRW.

No Jong-seop, CEO of Intec Digital, said, "The full-scale supply to Skylife and the increase in overseas orders are the foundation of these strong results," adding, "Since domestic supply volume will expand from the first quarter of next year, we expect even better performance."

Intec Digital, which had only conducted overseas sales until 2018, has strengthened its domestic market sales since last year, raising the proportion of domestic sales to about 70% of total sales.
