[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Professor Kim Geunsik of Gyeongnam National University, chairman of the People Power Party's Songpabyung district in Seoul, evaluated on the 22nd, "After seeing Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's determined remarks today, it seems that Minister of Justice Chu Mi-ae cannot win."

Professor Kim said in a post on his Facebook that day, "Despite having so much to say, he endures and waits for the right moment until the national audit, showing inner strength, which contrasts with Minister Chu who pours out what she wants to say at every opportunity in the National Assembly and on Facebook."

Earlier, Prosecutor General Yoon stated at the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee's National Audit of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office that regarding Minister Chu's exercise of investigative command authority, "The Prosecutor General is not a subordinate of the Minister of Justice," and "It is certain that it is illegal and unjust in terms of grounds and purpose."

He also expressed no intention to resign voluntarily. Yoon emphasized, "There has been no word from the appointing authority regarding my position, and the term is a promise made to the people upon appointment," adding, "No matter what pressure there is, I intend to fulfill my duties." Yoon's term lasts until July next year.

Regarding this, Professor Kim said, "Firmly stating that he will fulfill his duties during his term is a resistance strategy indicating that even if Minister Chu tries to render him a figurehead prosecutor general through personnel and investigative command authority, he will not resign," adding, "If it is a will to endure insults and attacks, it seems Minister Chu has little she can do."

He continued, "Criticizing the exercise of investigative command authority as illegal, unjust, and irrational, and stating that the Prosecutor General is not a subordinate of the Minister, shows that although he has accepted the Minister's personnel and command so far, he does not truly tolerate it," and "Although it seems Minister Chu is winning when she counters that slander is the mildest expression, I even feel that Prosecutor General Yoon is sharpening his sword for a counterattack while waiting for the right moment."

Professor Kim also emphasized, "Minister Chu's stubbornness and obstinacy are not simple, but Prosecutor General Yoon's patience and inner strength are formidable as well," adding, "Victory in this confrontation is a contest of obstinacy and inner strength, but ultimately, the side that wins the people's hearts will be victorious."

He concluded his post by saying, "Minister Chu has exhausted all her cards, and Prosecutor General Yoon's endurance continues," and "The people's sentiment will soon choose the final winner."
