Signed Export Contract Worth 5 Billion KRW with Indonesia
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Gwangyang City visited Jooyoung Lighting Co., Ltd. (CEO Lim Young-mi), which signed an overseas export contract despite the COVID-19 crisis situation the day before, to encourage company officials.
On this day, Riza Yati, president of Indonesia Imja Corporation, and others visited the exporting company to inspect the factory and verify production capacity. Attendees included KOTRA Senior Consultant Park Seok-jun, Korea Metal Industry Cooperative Chairman Lee Ui-hyun, and company officials.
Jooyoung Lighting Co., Ltd. is the first tenant company in the Gwangyang Iksin Industrial Complex, relocated from Ulsan City, producing solar streetlights and lighting devices. On July 30, it achieved the result of signing an export contract worth 5 billion KRW for 5,000 sets of solar streetlights with Indonesia Imja Corporation.
CEO Lim Young-mi of Jooyoung Lighting said, “By combining modern sensibility and creative ideas, we developed various products that led to the success of this export contract,” adding, “We will continue to invest more in research and development to secure corporate competitiveness and expand our business areas beyond solar streetlights and lighting products to achieve greater results.”
Gwangyang Mayor Jeong Hyun-bok stated, “I am pleased that the company, which relocated from Ulsan City and invested in Gwangyang, has firmly established itself and achieved the success of signing an overseas export contract amid the COVID-19 crisis,” and added, “We will continue to actively support companies investing in our city and do our best to serve as a partner for corporate success and a business-friendly city.”
