Suncheon City Recruiting Trainees for Basic Startup Course to Train Agricultural Product Processing Experts


[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) is recruiting students for the basic course of agricultural product processing startup education to train agricultural product processing experts until the 28th of this month.


This education aims to increase farm income through the commercialization of agricultural products and to acquire basic knowledge of agricultural product processing so that value-added and competitive, safe processed agricultural products can be produced. Specialized instructors in each field will conduct the training.


The education will be held at the Comprehensive Processing Support Center within the Suncheon Agricultural Product Processing Center in Seomyeon from December 4 to December 10, consisting of a total of 8 sessions and 32 hours. The curriculum includes ▲ food-related regulations for product development and production, ▲ agricultural food processing and cost calculation and basic tax law, ▲ understanding of food distribution and marketing, and ▲ small-scale HACCP systems.


Applicants can apply by the 28th at the Suncheon Agricultural Food Distribution Division or the Eup/Myeon/Dong Administrative Welfare Centers, with priority given to farmers, selecting 30 participants.


Those who complete more than 70% of the course will be recognized as graduates, and graduates can participate in the next training course.


An official from the Suncheon Agricultural Technology Center said, “We will strive to increase farm income by enhancing the value-added of agricultural products through various education programs and support for the development of prototypes of processed agricultural products.”
