[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol denied allegations of family misconduct, calling them "baseless accusations," and stated, "I have never been involved in my wife's affairs."

On the 22nd, during the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee's audit, Prosecutor General Yoon addressed claims that a company under investigation sponsored an art exhibition by his wife, Kim Gun-hee, saying, "I have never been involved in my wife's affairs."

In response to Open Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Jin-ae's question, "Are you trying to protect your wife's family?" he said, "Public officials must be rigorously scrutinized, but who would serve in public office if baseless suspicions are raised against those working legitimately? I believe this is unfair."

Regarding the suspicion of sponsorship for his wife's exhibition, he replied, "Last year's exhibition was a continuation of preparations made earlier, and after becoming the head of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, the exhibition was actually scaled down."

Especially concerning questions about his wife Kim's assets, he strongly denied, saying, "Following the high-ranking public officials' one-house policy two years ago, we disposed of real estate that was increasing in value, and currently only have inherited real estate and an apartment," adding, "We have never engaged in real estate speculation."
