[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Ju-yeon] Ubicare announced on the 22nd that it has acquired a domestic patent related to the operation method of a blockchain-based PHR platform server and the PHR platform server operation system.
The company stated, "This technology supports a service that safely stores medical records generated by multiple medical institutions on a PHR server using blockchain technology, and allows secure access through user apps or clinic EMRs," adding, "Patient information is extracted from medical record documents to create de-identified keys that are registered on a registry server, while the medical record documents themselves can be stored on separate distributed servers."
They further explained, "This technology can be applied to future anticipated platforms for medical information exchange between medical institutions or between medical institutions and individuals, as well as PHR (Personal Health Record) management platforms."
