Government Provides $300,000 Humanitarian Aid for Vietnamese Flood Victims Affected by Heavy Rainfall

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The government announced on the 22nd that it has decided to provide humanitarian aid worth $300,000 to Vietnam, which suffered damage from continuous heavy rains starting on the 6th.


The heavy rains caused over 100 deaths and approximately 90,000 flood victims. More than 130,000 houses were flooded, resulting in significant damage.


An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "We hope to contribute to the rapid stabilization of the lives of flood victims by providing swift emergency relief to those affected by the heavy rains," adding, "We will continue to actively participate in international efforts to support countries and people suffering not only from natural disasters but also from various humanitarian crises."
