K2 Launches 'Thin Air Down' as Light as Air

Innovative Down Compression Technology... Weighing 890g

[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Outdoor brand K2 has introduced the lightweight and warm 'Thin Air Down' featuring 'Thindown,' completed with innovative down compression technology.

Thindown is a down fabric developed into a textile through a special process using ethically certified RDS goose down, characterized by excellent thermal insulation and light weight.

K2 Thin Air Down weighs only 890g (based on men's size 100), less than 1kg, making it as light and warm as air.

The back panel uses Thindown, eliminating quilting lines to prevent heat loss or cold spots, providing excellent warmth retention. The front panel, lower back panel, and sleeves use goose filling certified by the Responsible Down Standard (RDS), ensuring no forced feather collection from live animals.

The outer fabric of the down jacket uses a thin, lightweight stretch material, offering a light and comfortable fit, and its compact volume makes it ideal to wear as a coat substitute.

Additionally, the neck collar is raised to block wind, and a hood is built inside the collar, allowing the hood to be pulled out and used depending on the weather. Magnetic details on the front down closure enhance convenience and warmth.

With a simple and chic design, it suits casual or commuting looks, and its slightly relaxed semi-overfit style allows comfortable layering without feeling bulky.

It is available in two styles: the long-length Thin Air Down that reaches above the knees and the short-length Thin Air Light, offered in both men's and women's versions. Prices are 470,000 KRW and 430,000 KRW, respectively.

Along with the launch, TV commercials were released. The long padding version featuring Park Seo-joon and the short padding version featuring Suzy were unveiled, effectively capturing the product’s lightweight and warm features with the main copy "Thinly Hot."

The CF videos featuring exclusive models Park Seo-joon and Suzy can be viewed on the official website, social network service (SNS) channels, Naver TV, YouTube, and more.
