Complete Your Interior Space with Home Appliances... [Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] LG Electronics has introduced a new home interior appliance brand called 'LG Objet Collection.' Originally launched in 2018 as LG Objet, a concept for personalized home appliances, the brand has expanded its scope to appliances that complete the entire home's interior space.


On the 22nd, LG Electronics announced the official launch of 11 new products under the LG Objet Collection. The products are characterized by allowing customers to choose designs, materials, and colors according to their preferences to create a harmonious space. The event was held online via LG Electronics' official YouTube channel, considering social distancing measures.

Harmonizing Home Interior Tones... Reflecting Preferred Colors and Materials by Generation

The LG Objet Collection enables customers to complete their home interior by adding products that harmonize with the overall tone of the house rather than a specific space. Customers can change the front materials and colors of all LG Objet Collection products except for the water purifier, which does not have a door.


To select the colors for the LG Objet Collection, LG Electronics collaborated for a long time with Pantone Color Institute, a world-renowned color research institute in the United States. Various materials, including Fenix, primarily used in premium furniture, were selected to match interior styles. Fenix is an innovative material created by the Italian furniture material company Arpa Industriale using special coating technology, offering luxurious colors and strong resistance to everyday scratches, making it easy to maintain.


The collection offers 13 colors combined with various materials such as Fenix, stainless steel, glass, and metal, from which customers can choose one to apply to the refrigerator door. For the top refrigerator and bottom freezer model, excluding the Knock-On Magic Space door, applying colors to each of the three doors results in a total of 145 combinations.


Through customer surveys, LG Electronics identified preferred colors by generation and reflected them in the new products. Generation X and Baby Boomers favored green, silver, matte black, sand, stone, and botanic colors, while Millennials preferred emotional beige, pink, and mint. Calm white and gray were highly favored across all generations.


LG Electronics proposes various combinations tailored to concepts such as Home Atelier, Home Garden, and Home Cafe packages to help customers easily select colors at LG Best Shops. Until the end of the year, LG Best Shops are also running a promotion offering up to 2 million KRW worth of membership points for customers purchasing LG Objet Collection packages.

Launching 11 Products from Customized Refrigerators to New Clothes Dryers

Through the Objet Collection, LG Electronics introduced two types of refrigerators: a large-capacity 870-liter top refrigerator and bottom freezer, and a built-in type with a 613-liter capacity. The new products feature a ‘Full Glass Knock-On’ design that finishes the entire door with sleek glass. The Knock-On function allows customers to knock on the upper front door of the refrigerator to turn on the interior light, making it easy to check the types and quantities of stored food.


LG Electronics recently launched a one-door convertible refrigerator in Europe, which has attracted attention, and now offers it as part of the Objet Collection. Two or more units can be purchased and placed side by side to be used as a single product. The LG Dios Kimchi Refrigerator increases lactic acid bacteria up to 57 times more than general storage modes, keeping kimchi delicious for a long time.


The LG Objet Collection dishwasher is a built-in exclusive model designed to reduce installation burdens. Unlike general products, it can be installed without cutting the kickboard under the sink. The door front is equipped with a display showing the remaining time. The new product comes in solid green and solid silver stainless steel materials, and nature beige metal material.


The LG Objet Collection microwave oven is available in solid green and solid silver stainless steel materials, and mist beige glass material. Customers can use the AI Cook function by simply scanning the barcode on Pulmuone Food’s ready meals with their smartphones, and the microwave oven automatically finds the optimal cooking method.


Additionally, the LG Objet Collection water purifier is released in two calm colors: calming beige and calming green. The integrated washer-dryer WashTower allows customers to choose the colors of the upper dryer and lower washer from three options: nature green, nature pink, and nature beige, enabling a total of nine combinations.


The LG Objet Collection Styler applies mist green and mist beige glass materials to the front door. The door corners feature a right-angle flat design, providing excellent harmony with furniture when installed built-in.
