The compact wheel loader introduced by Doosan Bobcat at the online new product launch event in Europe.
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Doosan Bobcat's Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) division recently held an online launch event to introduce 12 new products, the company announced on the 22nd.
The new products showcased at the event include a compact wheel loader targeting the European market, light compaction equipment for ground leveling, as well as upgraded versions of existing products such as the R-series small loader and the R2-series mini excavator.
The compact wheel loader, unveiled for the first time, is a Europe-specialized machine that maximizes work efficiency even in narrow spaces with excellent loading capacity and left-right articulation functionality. Doosan Bobcat plans to strengthen its market position by selling over 1,000 units annually within five years in the European compact wheel loader market, which has an annual volume of 20,000 units. The light compaction equipment, essential for asphalt road maintenance, was also introduced for the first time.
Doosan Bobcat also announced the launch of the R-series small loader, which received great response when introduced in North America last year, and the upgraded R2-series mini excavator in the European market. The European mini excavator market is significant, with an annual volume of 90,000 units as of last year, accounting for more than 80% of all small construction equipment in Europe. Doosan Bobcat has continuously expanded its market share through strengthening local dealer networks and marketing capabilities, aiming to achieve a 10% market share within 1 to 2 years through the launch of new products.
Additionally, Doosan Bobcat introduced advanced technologies to Europe for the first time, including 'Max Control,' a remote control technology using smartphones, and the ‘Features on Demand’ customized customer support program that allows users to purchase product options anytime according to their needs.
A Doosan Bobcat representative said, “This event was an opportunity to clearly demonstrate Doosan Bobcat’s strategic direction for penetrating the European market,” adding, “Under the slogan ‘Next is Now,’ which signifies redefining the small equipment market through product line expansion and technological innovation, we will focus our core competencies to further solidify our position as a global leader.”
