Hankook Tire Conducts 'Love Sharing Blood Donation Campaign'


[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hankook Tire & Technology (hereinafter Hankook Tire) announced on the 22nd that it shared warmth of love by participating in the 'Love Sharing Blood Donation Campaign' to overcome the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) held at the Seoul Southern Blood Center together with employees at its headquarters in Pangyo, Gyeonggi-do on the 21st.


This 'Love Sharing Blood Donation Campaign' was organized to deliver warm hearts to members of society in need amid difficulties in stable blood supply due to the impact of COVID-19. Hankook Tire participated in the blood donation campaign by conducting pre-screening, temperature checks, visitor list registration, and hand sanitization in accordance with social distancing quarantine guidelines.


Meanwhile, Hankook Tire has carried out various activities to end COVID-19 early and prevent its spread. It donated 500 million KRW to the Community Chest of Korea, 70 million KRW to local governments in the Chungcheong region including Daedeok-gu, Daejeon, to prevent spread among vulnerable groups. The volunteer group including the labor union and employees also directly engaged in emergency disinfection volunteer activities at multi-use facilities around Sintanjin Market and Sintanjin Station in Daedeok-gu, Daejeon. In addition, to support small business owners and dealerships struggling due to reduced consumption, it provided preventive supplies and response support funds worth a total of 1 billion KRW.
