Recently, Hyundai Mobis has upgraded its chemical substance management system to actively respond to various hazardous chemical substance regulations implemented in multiple countries. This system standardizes and integrates chemical substance information, allowing real-time tracking of which products use how much of each chemical substance. Based on this, it effectively identifies hazardous chemical substance risk parts that may violate global environmental regulations in advance.

Internally, a dedicated 'Hazardous Chemical Substance Quality Analysis Lab' was newly established to independently analyze hazardous chemical substance risk parts identified in advance. This lab is equipped with a total of 18 types of analytical equipment and can analyze all approximately 12,000 parts managed annually by Hyundai Mobis and its partners.

Hyundai Mobis has been operating a Safety and Environmental Quality Team since 2018 to respond to hazardous chemical substance regulations within products. In 2019, it formed a company-wide TFT to establish a hazardous chemical substance management process and enacted company-wide hazardous chemical substance management standards.

Hyundai Mobis plans to completely filter out hazardous chemical substances through information analysis and verification at all processes from design and raw material receipt stages to final product shipment and customer usage stages to ensure customers’ safe automotive life. Through this, it aims to supply cleaner and safer automotive parts to the global market.
