Korea Maritime University - Research & Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation, Establishing Science and Technology-Based Job Platform

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Korea Maritime and Ocean University held a 'Business Agreement Ceremony for Establishing a Science and Technology-Based Job Creation Platform' on the 22nd at the Policy Conference Room on the 3rd floor of the university headquarters, together with the Busan Research and Development Special Zone Headquarters of the Research and Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation.

Korea Maritime and Ocean University and the Busan Research and Development Special Zone Headquarters will cooperate on ▲supporting the growth and resolving difficulties of technology commercialization companies ▲efforts to improve job matching and employment environment ▲joint discovery and recommendation of companies with excellent technological and business feasibility ▲supporting companies' global expansion such as overseas export support and overseas client discovery for the 1st and 3rd companies ▲support for industry-academia cooperation student education and field training for future development ▲administrative support and information exchange for smooth promotion of mutual cooperation projects.

Yong-guk Bae, head of the Busan Headquarters of the Research and Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation, said, “Once a platform to create science and technology-based jobs is established, it is expected to alleviate the information gap and contribute to youth job creation and regional economic revitalization.”

Deok-hee Do, president of Korea Maritime and Ocean University, said, “Universities, research and development special zone headquarters, and industries can cooperate to produce results that can serve as a model for industry-academia cooperation,” adding, “The Mium District, where the Sanhak Convergence District Seobusan Convergence Campus is located, will be that opportunity.”
