Smoothie King Introduces 3 New Menu Items Featuring Jeju Cheonhyehyang

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Shinsegae Food's Smoothie King announced on the 22nd that it will launch three new menu items using Cheonhyehyang, a specialty product of Jeju.

Smoothie King focused on the fact that Jeju Island, a representative domestic travel destination, has gained attention as overseas travel has been restricted due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). As the number of people planning or going on trips to Jeju increases, it is expected that more people will want to enjoy the memories and special flavors of their travel destinations in their daily lives. Accordingly, Smoothie King introduced three new menu items using Cheonhyehyang, a Jeju specialty known for its higher sweetness and rich juice compared to regular tangerines, and its high content of antioxidants such as carotenoids and vitamin C, which are known to help prevent aging, colds, and fatigue recovery.

The new menu items launched by Smoothie King this time are the ‘Jeju Cheonhyehyang Smoothie,’ ‘Jeju Cheonhyehyang Juice,’ and ‘Jeju Cheonhyehyang Tea.’ The ‘Jeju Cheonhyehyang Smoothie’ is characterized by blending the sweet and tangy pulp and peel together, preserving the original taste and nutrition of Cheonhyehyang. The ‘Jeju Cheonhyehyang Juice’ is a healthy juice made with sweet and rich juice without any additives. Also, the ‘Jeju Cheonhyehyang Tea’ offers a subtle and deep aroma, just like the fruit’s meaning, “fragrance that falls from the sky.”

The three new Jeju Cheonhyehyang menu items from Smoothie King will be sold nationwide at Smoothie King stores starting from the 23rd, with prices ranging from 4,300 to 6,900 won depending on the type.
