Yangcheon-gu Offers Free VR and AR Training for Job Seekers and Entrepreneurs in Virtual and Augmented Reality

Conducting Lectures with Curriculum Designed Directly by Excellent Instructors Actively Working in Solution and Content Development Companies

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Yangcheon-gu (Mayor Kim Soo-young) has launched a 'Digital New Deal VR·AR Course' to train specialized personnel in VR (Virtual Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality) for young people aged 19 to 39 in the region.

Yangcheon-gu, which was selected as a Smart City Special Zone last year, announced that it aims to cultivate creative talents who professionally utilize VR·AR, a core technology of the 4th Industrial Revolution, to concretely realize 'Smart City Yangcheon.'

The training course is an intensive professional program of over 200 hours, held from November 26 to December 15, and will be conducted under the guidance of expert instructors at Hyundai Industrial Vocational School (305 Jungang-ro, Yangcheon-gu).

The instructors for this course are professionals currently working in solution and content development companies. Based on the know-how they have acquired in the field, they designed the curriculum to effectively help young people develop practical content production and programming skills.

In addition to offline education, real-time streaming and video lectures for review will be posted online, and all costs required for participation, including textbook fees, will be fully supported, so there is no personal expense.

Furthermore, through this training, portfolio creation and professional mentoring for employment and start-ups related to VR·AR will also be provided.

Youth who wish to apply can do so online through the OnOffMix website, and the final selection results for participants will be individually notified on the 23rd.
