On the 26th, a small-scale session for Gangbuk-gu Cooperative Council members... Presentation on "Understanding and Necessity of Cooperative Capacity Evaluation," followed by member discussions and Q&A
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gangbuk-gu (Mayor Park Kyum-soo) will hold a forum titled ‘Forum for Establishing Measures to Introduce Collaborative Governance Capacity Evaluation’ on the 26th at the district office, aiming to build consensus on the importance of collaborative governance capacity evaluation.
The evaluation targets whether systems based on collaboration are established within the administrative system and whether work processes go through procedures of communication and cooperation between residents and administration.
The development of indicators serving as the criteria is one of the six major tasks in the Basic Plan for Community Innovation.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the forum will be held on a small scale with members of the Gangbuk-gu Collaborative Governance Council. Professor Oh Soo-gil of Korea Cyber University will present on the topic ‘Understanding and Necessity of Collaborative Governance Capacity Evaluation,’ followed by discussions and Q&A sessions with the members.
Additionally, the district plans to hold a second forum in November to discuss measures for introducing collaborative governance capacity evaluation.
Mayor Park Kyum-soo of Gangbuk-gu said, “This forum is an opportunity to explore the direction our district should take in public-private collaborative governance. We will strive to establish systems to enhance collaborative governance capacity and implement district administration together with residents.”
Since the enactment of the ordinance to activate public-private collaborative governance in 2019, the district has built a foundation by forming the Gangbuk-gu Collaborative Governance Council and establishing the Village Collaboration Division. Furthermore, it has established and is implementing a three-year Basic Plan (2020?2022) and annual action plans for the ‘Community Innovation Plan,’ which addresses local issues through public-private cooperation.
