Uljin-gun 'Jabong's Good Deeds Record ... 18th 'Happy Village' is Buk-myeon Nagok 2-ri

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Dongwook Park] The 'Hope Uljin Happy Village Making' project, which started in 2013 to revitalize local volunteer activities in Uljin-gun, Gyeongbuk, has reached its 18th village after 7 years.

The 'Hope Uljin Happy Village Making' project targets two villages annually on average that have suffered from disasters such as typhoons, and local volunteers provide focused sharing volunteer work in the form of talent donation.

From the 12th for seven days, Uljin-gun conducted the 'Happy Village Making Project' in Nagok 2-ri, Buk-myeon, with 45 volunteers, creating the 18th Happy Village. The event was hosted by the Uljin-gun Comprehensive Volunteer Center (Director Kim Deok-yeol), which revitalized the village atmosphere through painting village fences and creating flower gardens.

In September, the Uljin-gun Volunteer Center also carried out various non-face-to-face volunteer activities in Giyang 3-ri, Maehwa-myeon, which suffered typhoon damage last year, making this village the 17th Happy Village.

County Governor Jeon Chan-geol said, "I congratulate the birth of the 18th Hope Uljin Happy Village and thank the residents for their great interest and encouragement despite the difficult conditions caused by the prolonged COVID-19 disaster."
