According to the Ministry of National Defense, during the call arranged at the request of the Chinese side, Minister Wei said, "While maintaining continuous communication between the militaries of the two countries, we must jointly protect peace and stability in the region by promoting exchange and cooperation."
He also congratulated Minister Seo on his appointment and expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the Korean Ministry of National Defense in successfully conducting the repatriation ceremony of Chinese military remains last September.
