[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The '2020 G-FAIR KOREA', an exhibition aimed at opening export channels for domestic small and medium-sized enterprises, opened on the 21st at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2 in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do.
Now in its 23rd year, G-FAIR KOREA is a trade exhibition for excellent products from small and medium-sized enterprises hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency. It attracts over 80,000 visitors annually as it showcases innovative products all in one place.
This year, to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the event is held online instead of an offline exhibition, operating an online exhibition hall (online.gfair.or.kr).
The online exhibition hall is divided into four sections: kitchenware, household goods, health products, and beauty products, with about 450 participating companies introducing approximately 1,300 products.
Additionally, 80 video consultation booths set up at the venue will conduct product promotion and export consultations until the 23rd, targeting influential overseas buyers and 150 purchasing managers from 47 major domestic distribution companies.
After G-FAIR KOREA concludes, additional video consultations will be conducted at the Digital Trade Consultation Office of the Gyeonggi Economic Science Institute.
The exhibition venue will display products from 15 companies that submitted creative and innovative products among the participating companies.
Kim Ki-jun, Director of the Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency, emphasized, "Due to environmental changes caused by COVID-19, this year's G-FAIR KOREA is being held online for the first time. Given the challenging domestic and international environment, we will do our best to support participating companies so they can achieve greater results than ever before."
