[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Daily Blockchain (hereinafter DBC), an ICT solution specialist company based on 4th industrial revolution technology, announced on the 21st that it has won the contract for the construction project of the Gageo Coastal Surveillance Scientific System by the Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency.
The Gageo Coastal Surveillance Scientific System construction project aims to establish a perfect surveillance system through linked monitoring using radar and TOD, and to build a seamless system for analysis, response, reporting, and dissemination in case of various situations.
Based on the largest domestic record of surveillance system installations, DBC plans to introduce state-of-the-art surveillance equipment such as a thermal camera with fog correction function activated and a lifespan increased by about 167%, AIS (Automatic Identification System), and V-PASS (Fishing Vessel Position Transmitter). Furthermore, by integrating an intelligent coastal surveillance solution successfully verified in past military and police-related projects, DBC plans to establish a comprehensively improved scientific coastal surveillance system.
Jo Youngjoong, CEO of DBC, stated, “The control systems currently introduced in Korea are being advanced centered on the introduction of 4th industrial revolution technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain across all sectors including navigation safety, land, and sea, in line with the government’s recent Digital New Deal policy. Since we are entrusted with the scientific coastal surveillance project directly linked to national security, we will complete the project successfully by introducing advanced equipment and technologies that were previously absent.”
The company expects that this project, promoted as part of a national agenda to replace coastal surveillance personnel with intelligent state-of-the-art surveillance systems in conjunction with the abolition of the mandatory police system starting next year, will continuously expand demand in related business sectors across the country in the future.
