6 Types of Land-Related Certificates, "From Application to Issuance All at Once" on Government24

[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] Various land-related certificates that need to be checked when buying and selling land can now be applied for and issued all at once on the 'Government24' website.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 21st that starting from the 22nd, the Government24 portal of the Republic of Korea will provide a batch application service for land-related certificates issued during real estate transactions.

Land-related certificates are civil service documents that anyone can apply for, even if they are not the landowner. Among the total 13.9 million civil service applications submitted through Government24 in 2019, the largest portion was 6.095 million (43.8%). Looking at the usage rate of Government24 civil services, issuance of land (forest) registers was the highest at 5.6 million (40.3%), followed by issuance of resident registration certificates at 3.386 million (24.4%).

The newly provided batch application service for land certificates consolidates land-related civil service tasks and allows users to enter information only once, then select and apply for the desired land-related certificates all at once.

Until now, applicants had to repeatedly enter the same information on different screens to apply separately for land (forest) registers, cadastral (forest) maps, land use plan confirmation certificates, individual official land price confirmation certificates, etc., for the same property, but from now on, by entering information only once on Government24, users can receive all six types of desired land-related certificates.

Han Chang-seop, Director of Government Innovation Organization at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, said, "This is a small but tangible example of improving services that are widely used but cumbersome to apply for by providing them as a package," and added, "We will continue to expand such services to enhance convenience for the public."
