[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Kim Jong-in, Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, stated on the 21st regarding the possibility of recruiting former lawmaker Geum Tae-seop, who left the Democratic Party, "Regardless of his departure from the party, he is someone I occasionally met, so I am willing to meet him once."
Chairman Kim met with reporters after the Emergency Committee Chairman-Senior Lawmaker Joint Meeting held at the National Assembly that day and said, "Since we have no way to confirm his intentions, we have to wait and see (the possibility of recruitment)."
Former lawmaker Geum posted on Facebook on the same day, in a post titled "Leaving the Democratic Party," saying, "I have reached a point where I can no longer approve or agree with the direction the party is heading," and "As a final protest, I submit my resignation with sincerity and earnestness."
