Hanul Nuclear Power Plant, '1 Village·1 Color' Community Enterprise Competition... Gusan-ri Prosperity Association Wins 'Best Award'

Awards Presented by Six Organizations in Food, Economy, and Culture Sectors

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head Lee Jongho) held the '1-ri·1-color Village Community Enterprise Development Project Competition' on the 20th at the Hanul Headquarters PR Center, with about 50 participants from six participating organizations.

This competition is an income increase support contest project promoted by Hanul Headquarters since last year to revitalize the local economy and spread a healthy local community culture.

This year, Hanul Headquarters also conducted a call for proposals for the 1-ri·1-color Village Community Development Project from May 6 to June 26. The six organizations that passed the preliminary round (document screening) have been preparing for the competition by concretizing their projects and strengthening their capabilities through one-on-one professional consulting.

As a result of the judging, the Gusan-ri Prosperity Association of Giseong-myeon won the grand prize and received a prize of 20 million KRW. Heungbu Village Community and Uljin Bajige Market Merchants' Association each won the gold prize (10 million KRW), and 'Together Geunnam-myeon People,' 'Haepalang 2425,' and 'Deoksan Elementary School Youth Association' each won the silver prize (5 million KRW), receiving project support.

Meanwhile, Atom Lavender Jeonwon Village, selected as the best project in the 2019 1-ri·1-color Village Community Enterprise Development Competition, was also selected as a preliminary village enterprise by Gyeongsangbuk-do in June and is laying the foundation to leap forward as a government-certified village enterprise with additional project support from Hanul Headquarters.
