Naejangsan National Park, Baegamsan Baby Maple Peak Season Similar to Last Year

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Chunsu Kim] The Baegamsa Office of Naejangsan National Park under the Korea National Park Service (Director Jaewon Lee) announced on the 21st that the autumn foliage of Baegamsan began to change color from the highlands in the third week of October and is expected to reach its peak around the first week of November.

The autumn leaves of Baegamsan are smaller and more beautifully colored than those in other regions, earning them the nickname "Baby Danpung." Baegamsan is home to the thousand-year-old temple Baegyangsa, and along the 1.5 km stretch from Iljumun Gate to Baegyangsa, the Baby Danpung Tunnel Road and the natural monument No. 153, the Korean nutmeg yew trees, create a stunning landscape.

Hansang Sik, Administrative Director of the Baegamsa Office at Naejangsan National Park, urged visitors to the national park to relieve stress caused by COVID-19 by enjoying the clear energy of nature, and emphasized the importance of wearing masks and maintaining social distancing during their visits.
