[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) will hold the game culture family camp '2020 Incheon Game (GAME) Kkok' online on the 31st.
This event, aimed at fostering family bonds through games and promoting a healthy game culture, is being held for the third time this year.
To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the event will be held online without face-to-face contact, where participating families will join the game culture family camp via the video conferencing platform 'Zoom' at their designated times.
In the first session, game commentator Bitdol Ha Gwangseok will appear to discuss "Game Culture Kkokkok! Creating PC Game Culture," including a self-diagnosis of gaming habits and a Q&A session about e-sports and professional gamers.
Following this, Professor Kim Sanggyun from Kangwon National University, head of the Game Perception Improvement Division of the Game Culture Forum, will give a lecture on game literacy education, exploring ways for parents and children to communicate through games.
Together with board game content creator 'BoardLive,' there will be a session titled 'Family Game Talk Challenge,' where families can find games to play together and all participating families will experience a board game challenge.
The participants are elementary and middle school students living in Incheon and their families, with 20 teams selected by lottery. Selected families will receive game kits to experience during the camp, and outstanding participants will be awarded prizes.
Families not selected can still participate in the game camp live through the YouTube channel (Game Incheon). Applications can be submitted through the Incheon Technopark website until the 26th.
