On the 21st, Lotte Homeshopping announced that its industry-first mega shopping event, 'Korea Gwangclick Festival,' which started on the 16th, reached a cumulative order of 1 million within just five days.
This figure represents an increase of more than 50% compared to the same period last year, with total sales (based on order amount) rising over 70%, and the average daily number of orders increasing by more than 50%. TV home shopping sales grew by over 100%, while mobile order customers increased by more than 60%.
Notably, orders from the younger 20s and 30s generation accounted for 43%, indicating an expansion of the customer base. Additionally, the paid membership program ‘L-Club’ offered a 10% point accumulation benefit?100 times that of regular customers?resulting in their order amounts tripling compared to the same period last year.
Through the limited-quantity time sale event ‘Gwangclick Time,’ popular products such as the ‘Gucci Mini Bag’ and ‘iPad Pro’ were sold at up to 36% discounted prices, leading to early depletion of the prepared stock. On the 17th, representative programs like ‘Choi Yura Show’ and ‘L Show’ aired special Gwangclick Festival broadcasts, surpassing 10 billion KRW in order amounts. The ‘Choi Yura Show’ featured a ‘Dyson’ special, selling popular products such as vacuum cleaners, hair dryers, and Airwrap stylers, achieving 3.3 billion KRW in orders and receiving high customer acclaim.
Earlier on the 16th, the ‘Lotte Hotel Jeju’ accommodation voucher sales broadcast recorded over 6,000 orders and 3.1 billion KRW in sales within 60 minutes, while the ‘Jeju Aewol Stay’ hotel accommodation voucher broadcast on the 18th also benefited from Gwangclick Festival promotions, reaching 10,000 orders. Additionally, the mobile live broadcast ‘Molive’ attracted attention by offering discounted prices on items like ‘Herm?s watches’ and ‘Gucci shoulder bags.’
‘Korea Gwangclick Festival,’ launched by Lotte Homeshopping after a year of preparation, is a mega shopping event providing a total of 11.9 billion KRW in shopping support funds and discounting 300 billion KRW worth of products across all channels including TV, online, and mobile. Prior to the event, a promotional video featuring national hero and golf star Park Seri was released, garnering over 2 million views within two days and generating buzz even before the start. Lotte Homeshopping plans to develop ‘Korea Gwangclick Festival’ into a leading domestic shopping festival comparable to Black Friday and Singles’ Day.
The event runs until the 25th, offering benefits such as two discount coupons worth 10,000 KRW each to the first 60,000 customers daily, up to 10% card discounts, and up to 20% point accumulation when purchasing via the mobile app. From the 23rd, time sales will feature popular electronics such as the ‘Dyson Cyclone V10 Carbon Fiber,’ ‘Samsung Galaxy Buds Live,’ and ‘LG Pra.L Derma LED Mask’ with discounts up to 38% off the selling price.
In the ‘Gwangclick Brand’ section, which offers popular brand products in fashion, beauty, and electronics at discounted prices, luxury brands like Ferragamo, Est?e Lauder, and Burberry will be sold starting the 23rd, with up to 20% point accumulation for purchasers. Additionally, the fashion-specialized program ‘L Show,’ airing at 9:30 PM on the 24th, will showcase popular items from the newly launched fashion brand ‘Paul & Joe’ this year, along with a large stock of Gucci bags and wallets.
