The 2020 Busan Cosmetics Beauty Festival will be held online in a non-face-to-face format from October 22 to 23.
Since 2019, Busan City has been hosting this festival to enhance the recognition of excellent products produced by local cosmetics beauty companies and to strengthen competitiveness by expanding domestic and international sales channels.
This year, marking its second event, considering the COVID-19 situation, the existing offline promotion and sales exhibition will be changed to a non-face-to-face event.
At this event, a one-on-one online export consultation meeting is scheduled between 20 Busan cosmetics beauty companies facing difficulties in developing overseas markets due to COVID-19 and 12 companies from three countries: Russia, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
Busan City has identified companies and buyers two months in advance for an efficient online export consultation. With prior company introductions and interpreters assigned to each booth to facilitate smooth consultations, it is expected that online business agreements (MOUs) will be actively signed between foreign buyers with purchasing intentions and local cosmetics companies.
Simultaneously with the export consultation, promotional video filming for companies will be conducted. With a professional host, explanations and Q&A sessions about 3 to 5 representative products of the companies will be produced in about 5 minutes.
The completed videos, including English subtitles, will be provided to support companies in promoting and selling through domestic and international exhibitions, fairs, their own websites, and social networking services (SNS).
Byun Sung-wan, Acting Mayor of Busan, said, “We will promote projects that provide practical support such as online overseas marketing to help Busan’s companies overcome COVID-19 and grow into global cosmetics beauty companies.”
