[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] YouTuber Lee Geun (36), a former Navy lieutenant who appeared on 'Fake Men,' recently uploaded a video on his YouTube channel showing himself skydiving while eating a hamburger at an altitude of 13,000 feet (about 4 km), despite various controversies.

On the 20th, former Lieutenant Lee uploaded a video titled "Military Burger Mukbang at 13000FT. CHEERS!" on his YouTube channel. The video featured the military-style burger from Lotteria, for which he had recently worked as a model.

In the video, Lee said, "I will show you an extreme sport called 'rodeo,'" adding, "There is a magic carpet scene in the animated film Aladdin, and riding that is like rodeo. I will actually do rodeo using a wingsuit, but just doing it would be boring, so I will show it while eating a hamburger."

He revealed the hamburger-making process in the video, saying, "This is the military burger I advertised before. Every time I see the military burger, memories come to mind," and "Honestly, I dislike military hamburgers, but like hardtack and Choco Pie, it's fun and tasty to see and eat these things after a long time."

After making the hamburger, former Lieutenant Lee ascended to the sky and said, "I am going to do a hamburger rodeo jump," adding, "I am very hungry, so I am looking forward to the hamburger even more," and continuously showed the hamburger he made during the descent.

Then, while eating the hamburger in the sky, he shouted, "As expected, military burger."

Earlier, former Lieutenant Lee gained popularity by appearing as a training instructor on the YouTube entertainment show 'Fake Men' and participating in many variety programs. However, he recently faced difficulties due to controversies over debts, a criminal record for sexual offenses, and allegations that his UN work experience was fabricated.

In response, Lotteria quickly made advertisements related to former Lieutenant Lee private or deleted them. On the 13th, Lotteria stated, "We see this as a matter with social repercussions, and after internal discussions, we decided to take down videos related to Lieutenant Lee," adding, "We have requested Lee's side to provide their position and explanation, and the contract termination is not yet finalized." At that time, posts such as "Lotteria quickly cut ties with Lee Geun" appeared one after another on online communities.

When former Lieutenant Lee's video was uploaded that day, netizens expressed surprise with comments like "I've only seen YouTubers get shut down, but he's truly a survival expert," "Lotteria abandoned Lee Geun, but Lee Geun did not abandon Lotteria," "His mental strength is really strong," and "It's amazing that he filmed such a cheerful video amid all this."
