[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] The story of a father who has been wearing high heels and skirts every day for the past four years, insisting that "clothes and shoes should have no gender," has become a hot topic.
On the 19th (local time), the New York Post introduced the story of Mark Brian (61), an American roboticist living in Germany who wears high heels and skirts.
According to the New York Post, Mark is an ordinary father in his 11th year of marriage with one son and two daughters.
"I first tried on high heels at the suggestion of my girlfriend when I was in college," he confessed, adding that since 2016, he has worn high heels not only to restaurants and cafes but also to work.

He records his affection for skirts and shoes on Instagram and currently has 127,000 followers.
Mark repeatedly insists that fashion should have no gender and continuously posts photos of himself wearing high heels and skirts on his Instagram.

Netizens are supportive of his actions. They commented on his posts with remarks such as "That's a really pretty skirt," "The high heels are cool," and "Such a stylish outfit. Looks great."
Mark's family is also said to respect his choices. Mark shared, "My wife helps me pick out clothes, and my daughter often wants to borrow my shoes."
In an interview with a media outlet, Mark said, "I prefer skirts over dresses," adding, "Dresses don't allow for mixing genders. I like the look where the upper body is muscular, and below the waist, the gender seems indistinguishable."

He continued, "It's not comfortable, but I really like how I look wearing tight skirts and high heels," and said, "I have always respected women who wear tight skirts and high heels."
Mark boasts a height of 183 cm even without heels, and when properly dressed, he stands very tall. During the COVID-19 pandemic, while working from home, Mark sat at his desk wearing business attire.
Mark stated, "Sometimes I get sideways glances from strangers when I'm out, but I don't care," and added, "Some men are surprised to find out that I am an ordinary man capable of normal conversation."
