Dr. Bronner’s, a 162-year-old American organic cosmetics brand, will launch the international 'All-One Initiative' project in Korea by the end of this year. 'All-One' embodies Dr. Bronner’s brand philosophy that we are all one regardless of religion or race, and that people, animals, and the Earth’s environment must coexist.

The 'All-One Initiative' is an international project designed to reinforce the shared goal set by the brand across its global branches and distributors?that the 'fight and support for what is right' remains a top priority even when localized. This is carried out through commitments with local partners in each country to support local organizations leading positive social change in the brand’s core missions: 'social justice,' 'animal welfare,' and 'environmental protection.'

Dr. Bronner’s is a global brand with an average of 20% of its annual sales generated overseas, donating about 6% of its sales (approximately KRW 8.5 billion) annually to various global causes. The 'All-One Initiative' is a strategy to return 1% of export profits to local communities in 12 countries, including Korea, out of the total 42 export countries where the brand operates (Korea, Germany, UK, Australia, Canada, France, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Panama, Taiwan). It was successfully launched in Germany and the UK in 2019.

Global skincare brand Biotherm donated the funds raised through its 'Water Lover Campaign' to Ocean, the East Asian Sea Community.

Since 2012, Biotherm has been running the 'Water Lover Campaign' to raise awareness about marine pollution caused by plastics and to emphasize the need for ocean protection. In Korea, the campaign kicked off on July 9 with a 'Biotherm Water Lover Beach Cleaning Event' in Yangyang, featuring Ryu Jun-yeol, Biotherm Homme’s domestic model.

Until August 31, the campaign continued both online and offline to encourage public participation in protecting the marine environment. Through the 'Water Lover' Instagram challenge, KRW 1,000 was donated for each post uploaded on Instagram. Additionally, Biotherm stores nationwide offered a Water Lover Summer Collection in recyclable glass bottles, allowing consumers to purchase the Water Lover glass bottle for KRW 1,000 and contribute to ocean protection. All the funds raised and proceeds were donated through OceanKind to Ocean, the East Asian Sea Community, to support marine debris cleanup activities.

A Biotherm representative said, “The Water Lover Campaign, launched for the first time in Korea this year, was meaningful as it raised awareness about the importance of the ocean and allowed many people to participate in ocean protection. Biotherm will continue to lead efforts to save the ocean and plans to carry out various activities annually, so we ask for your interest and support.”

Meanwhile, Biotherm is a skincare brand born from Life Plankton, a naturally fermented ingredient discovered in the pristine Pyrenees thermal springs in France. Since its inception, Biotherm has been improving all elements?from formulas and packaging to production processes?to reduce negative impacts on water. Since 2011, it has avoided using microbeads as raw materials and develops all ingredients considering biodegradability and environmental impact. Furthermore, Biotherm is gradually making gifts and shopping bags for customers from recyclable materials and actively using recycled plastic materials.
