According to Busan city health authorities, as of 11 a.m. on the 20th, 7 additional inpatients were confirmed, bringing the total number of patients to 81.
The patient confirmed on this day, Busan patient No. 567, had contact with a nursing assistant (Busan patient No. 485) and is known not to be a hospital staff member or patient.
Busan city disinfected the second floor of the hospital to prevent further infections and redistributed the beds of inpatients on the first floor. The distance between beds was set to 2 meters, and partitions were installed between beds.
All staff on the second floor of the nursing hospital have been excluded from work and are under self-quarantine. Among the 62 staff members excluding the second-floor employees, 60 are quarantined at the facility, and 2 are self-quarantining while commuting by private car to work.
Health authorities are transferring 18 patients who were hospitalized on the second floor of the hospital, where many confirmed cases occurred, to other hospitals for management.
