[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Haman-gun, Gyeongnam, was selected as the best institution nationwide in the '2020 Local Government Financial Analysis Comprehensive Evaluation' conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Accordingly, Haman-gun will receive an institutional commendation along with a special financial incentive grant of 90 million KRW.
The comprehensive financial analysis evaluation annually assesses the financial status of 243 local governments nationwide, comprehensively evaluating a total of 13 financial indicators across three areas: soundness, efficiency, and planning.
The county received high marks for systematically managing all processes from budget formulation to financial execution, including establishing financial operation plans, strategically reflecting investment projects in the mid-term local financial plan, promoting rapid execution, and reducing internal expenses.
Jo Geun-je, the head of Haman-gun, stated, "Sound and efficient financial management is very important, so we will continue to make efforts for this," and added, "As the COVID-19 situation prolongs, causing contraction in private consumption and investment, we will appropriately allocate the budget to revitalize the local economy."
